Integrative-Body Psychotherapy (IBP)
IBP is a body-focused psychotherapy that treats the whole person. It integrates the best approaches from Eastern and Western psychological, physiological and spiritual body-mind theories into a highly efficient and effective model for psychotherapy. Verbal and cognitive therapy methods are incorporated with breath work and body-oriented practices to heighten clients' connection with their core authentic self. IBP looks at how earlier experiences in our life affect us now and how we keep old patterns going through our protective defenses. Within the IBP therapeutic process, therapists and clients access and release psychological and physiological holding patterns in the body, and clients learn effective somatic and mental health skills to attain and sustain well-being. In turn, clients can experience themselves, others, and the world around them in a different and more meaningful way.
