I am a certified practitioner of Integrative-Body Psychotherapy, with specialized training in Natural Processing (NP)/somatic EMDR therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Bringing a mindful body-focused approach into my clinical practice will support you to connect with your body's wisdom and inner resources. I incorporate the latest research-proven approaches including somatic EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Interpersonal Neurobiology & Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I will ensure that the therapies I draw on best fit your needs and together we will create the change you seek to live your life to the fullest. I value building a safe and supportive healing environment for my clients and will bring an open, accepting, non-judging, and authentic presence to our therapeutic relationship.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Calgary, and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. I have been a Registered Psychologist since 2007 with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), and am a member of the Psychologists' Association of Alberta (PAA), upholding professional and ethical standards of practice in my work with clients. I am committed to life long learning, attending many professional development workshops and completing additional certifications in the field of psychology. I am dedicated to supporting my clients and feel honoured to witness their journeys of change.
I am passionate about the study and practice of mindfulness meditation and had the opportunity to complete a professional Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training program under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli.
